Sensei Alberto began the study of Martial Arts in 1978 at the age of seventeen (17) in pursuit of self- confidence and fitness where he spent several years studying a variety of martial art disciplines such as Viet-Vo-Do, Tae-Kwon-Do and Kung-Fu. Sensei Alberto began the study of Goju-Ryu karate in 1991 at the age of thirty (30) alongside his study of Kung-Fu. In the late 90s, Sensei Alberto discontinued his study in Kung Fu and continued with Goju-Ryu karate as this type of martial art best suited him. Through committed training, Sensei Alberto obtained his Black Belt 1st Dan (Shodan) rank in Goju-Ryu karate in 2010 and his 2nd Dan (Nidan) in 2015 Sensei Alberto is currently the head instructor at the Marrickville dojo and occasionally serves as an assistant instructor at the Earlwood dojo.
